Description

The Teen Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and supervision of youth programming and activities that promote positive development, engagement, and safety. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for teen members ages 12 to 18, while ensuring all organizational policies and procedures are followed.

Programming

  • Assist and support programming and program events
  • Report on programming and activities to the site director
  • Track member attendance in the member management system
  • Build and nurture rapport by actively engaging with members in a respectful and empathetic manner
  • Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to members
  • Transport members in compliance with safety guidelines to and from programming, activities, and events
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner
  • Report vehicle incidents and complete documentation within the required time frame
  • Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between participants and/or others
  • Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by the deadline
  • Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between participants and/or others
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

Attendance

  • Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work the required hours/shift, and leave at the scheduled time

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay: $15.00 per hour
  • Benefits: Eligible for paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay
