About the role

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County seeks Youth Development Specialists who can provide a safe, positive environment for youth through various programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement branch programming
  • Ensure high quality of youth programs
  • Manage branch operations
  • Work with small to large groups of youth

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with youth
  • Available to work during school year 2:00pm - 7:00pm, Monday – Friday; summer 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Able to be a positive role model
  • Able to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Able to relate to at-risk youth
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must pass all required background screens and drug screens
  • Minimum age 21

Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development, and teen interests
  • Experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club)
