About the role
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County seeks Youth Development Specialists who can provide a safe, positive environment for youth through various programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement branch programming
- Ensure high quality of youth programs
- Manage branch operations
- Work with small to large groups of youth
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Minimum 6 months of experience working with youth
- Available to work during school year 2:00pm - 7:00pm, Monday – Friday; summer 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday
- Able to be a positive role model
- Able to establish rapport and build relationships
- Able to relate to at-risk youth
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must pass all required background screens and drug screens
- Minimum age 21
Qualifications
- Bilingual
- Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development, and teen interests
- Experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club)
