Youth Development Site Coordinator- Echo Elementary School
About the role
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a positive, energetic, and experienced Youth Development Site Coordinator to lead our after-school child care program at Echo Elementary School. Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement engaging, age-appropriate developmental programs
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the child care center
- Supervise and mentor on-site staff
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for school-age children
- Build strong relationships with children and families and serve as a key point of communication
- Collaborate with school officials and YMCA leadership
- Ensure compliance with Virginia DOE licensing requirements and YMCA quality standards
- Manage site safety, equipment, and facilities
- Attend and lead required child care trainings
- Support program administration, budgeting, and staffing needs
Requirements
- Experience supervising staff and supporting program operations
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience leading groups of youth
- A positive, enthusiastic leadership style
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Virginia DOE licensing qualifications (college-level coursework in a related field or CDA required)
- Must be at least 21 years old

Pay
Salary Range: $43,000 - $45,000 per year
