Youth Development Professional - Sand Springs Red Shield Youth Center
About the role
The Salvation Army is seeking 4 Youth Development Professionals for its Sand Springs Red Shield Youth Centers in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. This position supports the organization's mission through various activities aimed at promoting academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character, and citizenship among youth.
Responsibilities
- Plans, implements, and supervises activities within a specific program area.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of activities provided within the program area.
- May oversee special programs and/or events (such as Keystone, Youth of the Year, and Awards Programs).
- Participates in the implementation of other unit activities as necessary.
- Provides supervision and oversight to other Youth Development Professionals in the absence of the Program Coordinator.
- Builds and maintains professional relationships with all Youth Center members and their families.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous work experience in related fields with children and youth preferred.
- Commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan including Level II & Level III Training.
- Driver’s license preferred but not required.

- Proficiency with Windows & Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
