About the role
The Youth Development Outcomes Specialist supports as a mentor and life skills coach for youth aged 13 to 21, with a focus on those 16-21 for participation in the Youth Advisory Council.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate youth advisory council activities, including group workshops and individual sessions.
- Support and assist trauma/EBP circles and post-crisis reviews with youth in select NET/NCC programs.
- Research, collect data, and create or find programming to impact the lives of youth served by NET/NCC.
Requirements
- High School Diploma with at least 2 years of experience in Child Welfare, Social Services, Juvenile Justice, with at least 1 year's experience working with adolescents.
- Strong knowledge related to child welfare, social services, and case-management as it relates to servicing delinquent/dependent children and youth.
- Preparedness to work non-traditional hours based on program needs, including weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve.
- Ability to work collaboratively, be patient, flexible, and multi-task.
- Knowledge of Child Development and Crisis Intervention is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
