Youth Development Outcomes Specialist

About the role

The Youth Development Outcomes Specialist supports as a mentor and life skills coach for youth aged 13 to 21, with a focus on those 16-21 for participation in the Youth Advisory Council. They report to senior leadership and are responsible for facilitating youth advisory council activities, group workshops, and individual sessions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate youth advisory council activities
• Mentor young people through group workshops and individual sessions as needed
• Research, collect data, and develop programming to impact the lives of youth served through NET/NCC
• Support and assist trauma/EBP circles and post-crisis reviews with youth in select NET/NCC programs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Child Welfare, Social Services, Juvenile Justice, with at least 1 year's experience working with adolescents
• Strong knowledge related to child welfare, social services, and case-management as it relates to delinquent/dependent children and youth
• Preparedness to work non-traditional hours based on program needs, including weekends
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficient oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve
• Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and able to multi-task
• Knowledge of Child Development and Crisis Intervention is preferred
• Valid driver’s license
