About the role

The Youth Crisis Center Crisis Peer Support Specialist/ Safety Monitor position at Clarvida is dedicated to supporting youth experiencing mental health crises. This role involves providing support through shared lived experiences to promote recovery and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to youth during mental health crises
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to manage crisis intervention
  • Conduct client and visitor check-ins and discharges
  • Communicate with staff on shift and assist in connecting callers to appropriate staff
  • Maintain the safety and security of the center

Requirements

  • Peer Support certification from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain Optum Idaho Youth Peer Support Endorsement
  • Pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with crisis intervention
  • Ability to build rapport with clients

  • PRN stipend for every three shifts covered within a 60-day period
