About the role
The Youth Crisis Center Crisis Peer Support Specialist/ Safety Monitor position at Clarvida is dedicated to supporting youth experiencing mental health crises. This role involves providing support through shared lived experiences to promote recovery and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to youth during mental health crises
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to manage crisis intervention
- Conduct client and visitor check-ins and discharges
- Communicate with staff on shift and assist in connecting callers to appropriate staff
- Maintain the safety and security of the center
Requirements
- Peer Support certification from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain Optum Idaho Youth Peer Support Endorsement
- Pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with crisis intervention
- Ability to build rapport with clients

- PRN stipend for every three shifts covered within a 60-day period
