Youth & Child Care Specialist - AOBH

Responsibilities

• Aid youth in foster care with activities of daily living skills.
• Support and educate pregnant and parenting residents on effective parenting skills and positive behavior.
• Attend personal care appointments to provide support and educate about navigating community resources.
• Document communication log entries accurately and submit necessary documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain continuity of care and ensure compliance with oversight regulations.
• Engage in recreational activities with pregnant and parenting residents and their children to build rapport.
• Participate in fire drills and other safety procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth and children in the program.
• Participate in evidence-based model trainings such as EQ2 and Power Source Parenting to enhance program services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience working with pregnant and parenting teens.
• 1-2 years’ experience caring for infants and toddlers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal relational skills.
• Ability to support and nurture children and youth in a structured environment.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
