Description
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has since expanded to operate across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care, all of which are trauma-informed and evidence-based.
What will you do as a Youth Care Specialist?
- Provide supervision, support, guidance, and build a therapeutic relationship with the youth under your care.
- Engage with youth in the program, providing direction, structure, and support for their physical and physiological needs.
- Schedule and participate in activities, ensuring the physical milieus remain clean and safe.
- Complete daily documentation as required by regulatory standards.
- Transport clients as needed for appointments and activities.

- Starting Pay Range: $18 - $21.50/hourly based on experience.

Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the program.
- A high school diploma required. A bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a residential youth or adult operation or related experience working in the field of child and family services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software.
- All full-time employees must work one of the following schedules: 1st shift (7am-7pm) or 2nd shift (7pm-7am).
