YOUTH CARE WORKER - PART TIME ON CALL

Position Details

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Part Time On Call Youth Care Worker at Hope Forest Academy in Paisley, Florida.

About the Role

We are located on a beautiful 49-acre ranch-style campus where we provide services and care for at-risk boys ages 12-18. Services include daily visitors such as turkeys, deer, and wild peacocks, two lakes stocked with fish, and various educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth.
• Provide for the physical, personal, and health needs of each student through individual counseling and behavioral/social/physical and educational skill development.
• Create a supportive atmosphere for the students; monitor and document student behaviors and activities.
• Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
• Provide active supervision at all times to youth in our care.

Requirements

• Empathetic, patient, and respectful towards others.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• A desire to work with troubled teens.
• Pass a DCF criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Qualifications

No previous experience is required for this role, but previous work with youth is preferred.

Skills

None specifically listed, but strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle challenging situations are essential.
