About the role
Tomorrow's Children Inc is a non-profit residential treatment facility that provides treatment for children with emotional and behavioral problems. We work with these children in a home-like environment, teaching them daily living skills, proper social skills, and appropriate behavior. Join our team to make a difference in a child's life and gain valuable experience in the social services field.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with 6 to 7 children with emotional and/or behavioral problems in a home-like environment
- Perform household responsibilities to include meals, general cleaning, and minor maintenance necessary to keep children safe
- Engage and positively interact with children on a daily basis
- Teach and assist with activities of daily living
- Develop and run behavioral programming
- Accurately record data and update records
- Teach proper social skills
- Assist in academic programming and supervision during school hours and complete requirements of teacher's aide license
- Participate in sports activities with the children
Schedule
- Varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- 1 weekend off per schedule period
- Typical shifts: 7 AM–3 PM or 3 PM–11 PM, with 2 to 4 overnight (11 PM–7 AM) shifts per month
- Provide shift coverage as needed in emergencies
Pay
Pay can increase based on continuous employment and satisfactory review.
Qualifications
College courses helpful, but not required.
