Youth Care Worker

Responsibilities

• Leading daily programming activities and promoting positive participation
• Engage with residents through recreational activities, groups, meals, and other aspects of daily living
• Responding to critical resident needs as they arise
• Participating in developing and maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment
• Actively participating in house and team meetings
• Attending initial and ongoing training sessions

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to type and document daily activities
• Caring and resilient personality
• Current student or graduate with a degree in human services, behavioral counseling, criminal justice, or a related field preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with an adolescent population preferred but not required

Qualifications

• One weekday shift per week and four weekend shifts per month minimum shift requirement
• Typical shifts include: Weekdays - 3pm to 10pm, Weekends - 9am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and midnight to 6am, Holidays (rotation) - 9am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and midnight to 6am
