About the role
The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. Our vision is for all new arrivals to be welcomed with equitable, high-quality services and resources so they can maximize their potential.
Responsibilities
- Create safety, stability, and trust for refugee and immigrant youth during critical moments in their lives.
- Provide continuous supervision and create a safe, nurturing environment where youth can feel secure.
- Guide daily routines and transitions with patience and intention, helping build stability, confidence, and a sense of normalcy.
- Respond with calm and care in high-stress situations, using positive behavioral support and approved interventions to ensure safety and dignity.
- Support evacuations and transports.
- Collaborate with a mission-driven team to deliver culturally responsive care and create meaningful, lasting impact every day.
Requirements
- Education and Background Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework or training in child welfare, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children or adolescents in a child welfare, residential, or behavioral health setting.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that meets organizational insurance requirements.
- Must be able to pass all background checks successfully as required by contract.
