About the role
Methodist Home for Children has been serving North Carolina families for decades. Our mission is simple: give kids a safe place to grow, learn, and build a better future. We operate residential homes, support foster families, and partner with public agencies to help youth get back on track.
Responsibilities
- Provide steady guidance: Use our proven model of care to support youth through daily routines and challenges.
- Maintain a safe environment: Supervise activities, keep the home organized, and help create a calm, respectful atmosphere.
- Work as part of a team: Coordinate with coworkers, families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Lead by example: Show young people what responsibility, respect, and good decision-making look like in real life.
Requirements
- Age 21+
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with youth (coaching, mentoring, community programs, or similar roles all count)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when needed
Qualifications
If you’ve worked in coaching, recreation, security, trades, military service, or any job where teamwork and steady leadership matter, you’ll likely be a great fit.
