Youth Care Worker

About the role

Responsible for providing direct care services in a residential setting. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
• Administer prescribed medications and record dosages
• Maintain cleanliness and order within the living quarters
• Monitor residents' health and report any concerns to supervisors
• Engage in recreational activities to promote social interaction

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Previous experience in a caregiving role preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Passion for working with individuals with special needs
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Skills

• Basic computer literacy
• First aid and CPR certification
