About the Role

Provides case management assistance through intakes, transportation, and support in day-to-day functions ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. Assesses relatives and/or sponsors at the place of release to verify identification. Average travel could range between 5-10 events per month.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in safety and service-related resources development prior to a child's discharge.
  • Provide transportation support to the assigned case management team.
  • Escort children, verify identification of approved sponsors, and release custody of children to approved sponsors.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of reunification of children.
  • Attend scheduled training related to the position.
  • Provide day-to-day coverage within the agency service facility.
  • Adhere to Child Abuse and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure task completion and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, work quality, or customer service satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).
  • 1+ years’ experience working with children and families.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand and move around for work.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay

$21.00 - $21.63 per hour (non-exempt).
