Job Purpose and Objectives
Provide a safe environment for the youth to learn socially acceptable behaviors. This is done through supervision of the youth and teaching new ways of dealing with situations and people. Provide physical, medical, and emotional care to the youth while they are in the facility.

Position Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Some college or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred with three (3) semester hours of college level study in adolescent development, psychology, or a related field or forty-five (45) hours in documented training in child care or child development
- One (1) year of experience as a youth care worker or house parent in a facility serving youth of the same age
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Certifications / Licenses
- Possess a valid Kansas driver's license
- Attend required training sessions
Compensation
Compensation within the listed pay range is tailored to relatable and transferrable experience.
