About the Role

This position serves as the Assistant Director of Human Resources Operations, providing leadership and operational support within the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring compliance with university policies and federal/state regulations.
• Manage HR information systems, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
• Provide guidance and support to university staff and faculty on HR-related matters.
• Develop and implement HR processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with institutional goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
• Experience in higher education HR settings.

Pay

Hiring range: $105,933 to $135,000 (AP 8 classification).
