Youth Care Specialist

Job Purpose and Objectives

Provide a safe environment for the youth to learn socially acceptable behaviors. This is done through supervision of the youth and teaching new ways of dealing with situations and people. Provide physical, medical, and emotional care to the youth while they are in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper supervision
• Maintain interpersonal relations
• Maintain public social skills

Position Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Sometime college or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements relative to the position
• Must be at least 21 years of age
