About the role
The Youth Care Specialist (YCS) provides therapeutic, nurturing, structured, and positive programming for emotionally, psychiatrically, and/or behaviorally challenged youth, specifically those involved in the CSEC population. They utilize professional knowledge and interpersonal skills to foster positive change and are an integral part of an inter-disciplinary team, participating in meetings, trainings, supervision, and serving as role models. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and overnights.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some college and experience working with youth preferred
- Experience with high school-aged youth in educational or residential settings preferred
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
- Must hold and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license
