Youth Care Advocate

About the role

The Youth Care Advocate will provide support and guidance to young people in need, ensuring they have access to resources and services that promote their well-being and development.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth in accessing educational, health, and social services
• Provide emotional support and counseling to youth
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
• Maintain accurate records and reports of interactions with youth
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience working with youth
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
• Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary range: $35,000 - $45,000 annually

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed
