Pro Skills Basketball (PSB) is the premier national youth basketball organization in America and a member of the Jr. NBA Flagship network. The NBA has designated PSB as one of the "18 best-in-class youth basketball organizations" that share the Jr. NBA’s vision for how the game should be taught and played at the grassroots level. PSB adheres to NBA and USA Basketball Youth Basketball Guidelines, implements coach licensing requirements, provides resources to educate coaches and parents, and is committed to improving the overall youth basketball experience.

About the Role

PSB is seeking coaches to lead club basketball teams in Philadelphia, PA, for the upcoming 2026 Fall Season. Coaching with PSB typically involves practices 1-2 times per week, with league and/or tournament games scheduled on weekends. Teams may include boys and/or girls at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, spanning advanced, intermediate, or beginner skill levels.

This is a paid, part-time hourly role ideal for experienced coaches seeking additional opportunities, recent college graduates starting their coaching careers, or anyone passionate about basketball who wants to make a positive impact on youth in their community.

Coaches report directly to City Directors, with potential for growth and promotion both within and outside PSB.

Responsibilities

• Develop practice plans and lead team practices with positive energy and clear direction.
• Coach teams during games, including substitution patterns, X's and O's, timeout management, and other in-game activities.
• Coach and develop players using a philosophy aligned with PSB’s mission and values.
• Communicate regularly with team families regarding logistics and team activities.
• Maintain consistent engagement with PSB stakeholders and address concerns promptly with a positive attitude.
• Work with PSB management to ensure appropriate staff coverage in case of absence.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of high school basketball playing experience.
• 1+ years of previous coaching experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional, organized, reliable, dependable, and accountable.
