About the role

T-Ball / Baseball Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and elevate our youth baseball program.
  • Oversee each session, coordinate and mentor our Parent Volunteer Coaches, and ensure a dynamic, positive, and high-energy experience is delivered to all players.
  • Hands-on involvement with both practices and games across our core development age groups: Ages 3–4: T-Ball, Ages 5–6: Coach Pitch, Ages 7–8: Coach Pitch.

Requirements

  • Safety & Supervision: Prioritize and maintain the physical and emotional safety of all participants during practices and games.
  • Communication & Leadership: Promptly address and manage any safety concerns or field conditions. Act as the main point of contact on the field, maintaining excellent communication with parents, participants, and staff. Provide regular program updates and coordinate weekend schedules via the Connecteam app. Address questions, feedback, and concerns from parents professionally and diplomatically.

Qualifications

  • Logistics & Requirements: Program Coordination & Instruction, Lead and organize weekly T-Ball and Baseball sessions for multiple age groups simultaneously. Partner with and mentor volunteer parent coaches each week to ensure they can deliver effective practices using the practice plans provided by i9 Sports. Teach young athletes fundamental baseball skills, including throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting. Provide encouraging, constructive feedback to help players build confidence and skill. Complete mandatory pre-season training sessions.
  • Experience: Previous experience coaching, playing, or officiating baseball/softball is required.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to manage, motivate, and direct others (specifically adult volunteer coaches and groups of children).
  • Soft Skills: High patience, high energy, a positive attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly speak to large groups of parents and children.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle/transportation.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be extremely reliable, punctual, and committed to working consecutive weekends for the duration of the season.
