Youth Advisor

Summary

The Youth Advisor position supports the rehabilitation mission of Peckham Inc. by providing care and guidance to female at-risk youth under the supervision of the Footprints Coordinator. Key responsibilities include ensuring safety, offering emotional support, mediating conflicts, and promoting personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure and safe environment for youth residents
• Provide guidance and emotional support to help youth cope with challenges
• Mediate conflicts and resolve disputes constructively
• Encourage participation in activities and therapeutic sessions
• Implement behavior management techniques and programs
• Work closely with other staff, social workers, counselors, and families
• Assist with daily living tasks and emergency responses

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 6 months to a year experience working with youth
• Past and current security clearances
• Unrestricted driver's license with a clear driving record
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience with juvenile court system preferred
