About the role
The Flying Cloud Institute (FCI) seeks a dedicated and inspiring educator to lead after school Girls Science Clubs and Summer programs, working with and leading a team of educators around the county.
Responsibilities
- Plans and delivers weekly after school Girls Science Clubs
- Delivers an annual STEM Summer Intensive
- Supervises and supports a team of after school Club Leaders
- Works in partnership with local school districts, artists, teachers, STEM professionals, and nonprofit organizations to deliver meaningful experiences to youth
- Occasional weekend or evening programs may be required depending on availability
Requirements
- Experience working with young women in a STEAM context
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for inspiring the natural curiosity of children through hands-on STEAM investigations
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel to program sites around the county
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (STEM, education, etc.)
- Experience in educational programming for youth
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of STEAM concepts and pedagogy
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Most duties occur on weekdays with very occasional weekend or evening programs.
