Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Social and emotional development of each child
• Positive and effective family relations
• Working with a Co-teacher and in conjunction with the faculty
• Continuous education as required by Child Care Licensing and GSI

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Experience working and leading a Toddler classroom
• Show empathy and compassion for young children
• Proven experience in a licensed early childhood facility
• Reliable and dependable, a team player
• Good, positive energy
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies
• Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift children as required
