Yoga & Mat Pilates Instructor

About the role

The Group Fitness Instructor position supports the YMCA of Collier County, Inc., a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengthening the communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. This position delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the welcome center and fitness floor.

Responsibilities

• Instruct group fitness classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
• Experience teaching yoga and/or mat Pilates is required.
• Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Knowledge of various fitness techniques and exercise routines.

Pay

$20 - $25 per hour based on experience.
