About the role
The Lifeguard, under the direction of the Aquatic Coordinator/Program Specialist and Head Guard, ensures a safe environment for all participants in and around the pool. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies and administering CPR and First Aid according to YMCA and American Heart Association guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and ensure participant safety.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Administer CPR and First Aid as needed, following certification guidelines.
