Responsibilities

  • Review client person-centered plans and develop activities to enhance functioning levels in identified areas of need.
  • Provide direct services in locations most appropriate based on client need (home, school, work, or community settings) and document progress in each person’s chart.
  • Provide one-to-one support to clients in crisis or who need a constant presence to remain stable and avoid restrictive placements.
  • Collaborate with family members and the treatment team to identify goals and strategies that reinforce desired behavior.
  • Implement scheduled day activities such as exercise, socialization, personal goal setting, illness management, and community outings.
  • Review client incidents with a supervisor and submit written reports as outlined in policy and procedure.
  • Advocate for client rights and community integration while preserving dignity and confidentiality.
  • Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision and program staffing, providing input on clinical and program issues.
  • Drive to community settings for service delivery, including transporting clients in a personal or company vehicle.
  • Meet with clients/guardians where services are needed (home, school, work, store, or community locations).
  • Meet administrative and clinical documentation requirements for content and timeliness as outlined in agency policy.
  • Meet client care hour expectations as outlined in agency policy.
  • Enter and maintain clinical schedules in the electronic health record system.
  • Maintain and advance knowledge and skills through training and review of pertinent materials.
  • Adhere to PMHS policies, procedures, and applicable ethical codes.
  • Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Monitor and assist with medication administration compliance as needed.
  • Perform verbal crisis de-escalation and physical behavior management interventions (e.g., therapeutic holds) using Pawnee’s approved crisis de-escalation program.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Individual Services Focus

  • Cross-train in other focus areas (Group Services and School Services).
  • Flex to cover shortages as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Provide Respite care as permitted by law.

Group Services Focus

  • Review client person-centered plans and develop group-specific activities to enhance functioning levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other CSPs in group settings to enhance client functioning.
  • Cross-train in other focus areas (School Services and Individual Services).
  • Flex to cover shortages as assigned by a supervisor.

School Services Focus

  • Provide direct services in the client’s school or community and document progress in each person’s chart.
  • Cross-train in other focus areas (Group Services and Individual Services).
  • Flex to cover shortages as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Work effectively in school settings, minimizing disruption and acting professionally with school staff.

Crisis Services Focus

  • Work with the regional YCS team to provide 24-hour on-call crisis coverage.
  • Pass crisis-specific training and utilize it in responding to crisis situations while on-call.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic personal computer skills for data entry, retrieval, and use.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance maintained per Pawnee policy.
  • CSPs in some regions may be required to provide crisis services, including rotating on-call shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a human services field and/or related work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.

Pay

$17 an hour
