Yard/Warehouse Rep I

Responsibilities

• Operate safely and follow established work and safety procedures.
• Participate in a positive work environment and assist warehouse associates and supervisors in maintaining an organized work area, including emptying trash receptacles and keeping bays and staging areas clean.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials; count and record receipt of materials.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Stock all material received in appropriate bins or storage locations.
• Assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials.
• Operate a forklift with foot and hand controls; may use the forklift to build outgoing orders or load completed orders onto delivery equipment.
• Operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g., bander, power tools, various hand tools).
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Maintain awareness of the work environment to produce error‑free and damage‑free results.
• Participate in and complete assigned trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.

Skills and Abilities

• Basic math; ability to read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
• Willingness to learn to read a tape measure.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers, employees, and supervisors.
• Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.
• Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g., smartphone, inventory control systems, and other business applications).

Pay

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour.
