Yard Person - CDL A - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

High Concrete is seeking a Yard Person CDL A to join our 2nd Shift at our Springboro, Ohio Plant. This position assists in the proper and safe handling of products from production areas to yard storage, and from storage areas onto trailers for shipments to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hooking up products for loading and unloading
• Strip yard products from forms
• Store products out in the yard
• Operate company equipment to move material, load & unload trucks
• Use hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading process
• Operate electronic hand held scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process
• Gather shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the days production
• Drive company trucks to store products (about 10% of your day is driving)

Requirements

• CDL A Required
• One year experience in the pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete industry, preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Certified equipment operator a plus; travel lift and/or tow motor a plus

• Ability to work outdoors
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
