Yard Loader Operator - Mill Creek

Job Responsibilities

• Daily pre- and post-shift inspections on equipment
• Safely operate yard loader, dozers, loaders, haul truck, and other heavy-duty equipment
• Perform clean-up work as necessary
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Multi-diversified duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading
• Communicate effectively via two-way radio
• Understand, interpret, and execute instructions verbally and in writing
• Recognize and address potential hazards
• Comply with MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Maintain safety standards
• Deliver exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operating heavy equipment
• Ability to complete pre-shift and post-shift inspection reports
• Work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime, and weekends
• Read, write, and speak English
• Communicate effectively via two-way radio
• Wear all required safety equipment
• Perform duties in a safe manner
• Read and interpret gauges
• Work in a TEAM environment

Physical Requirements

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor work
• Exert up to 100 pounds of force
• Walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, and climbing to a significant degree
• Sitting most of the time, but also walking or standing for brief periods
• Pushing, turning, and pulling of controls

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Heavy equipment operation experience: 2 years preferred
• Driver’s license preferred
