About the role
This role involves safely operating a commercial truck within a transportation yard and making local deliveries to specified customers.
Responsibilities
- Driving and maneuvering trailers
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections
- Securing loads and delivering products, verifying accuracy, obtaining delivery confirmations, and assisting with unloading
- Maintaining yard cleanliness and organization
- Managing trailer inventory
- Reporting unsafe conditions or vehicle issues
- Performing basic vehicle maintenance
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Requirements
- Class A CDL license
- At least one year of CDL driving experience
- Pass DOT medical and drug tests
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in various weather and traffic conditions
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently
- Ability to operate in a physically demanding environment
