Yard Helper

About the Role

Aldridge is seeking a Yard Helper to join a dynamic and energetic team, performing operational duties related to receiving, storing, and delivering material.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe job site.
• Load, unload, and transport heavy trucks, equipment, and material.
• Follow material shipping and receiving procedures.
• Maintain equipment and report equipment abuse or component tampering.
• Follow driver/yard procedures and responsibilities.
• Perform cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including cleaning tools, putting tools in proper storage areas, and sweeping floors.
• Advise supervisor immediately if additional work is needed.
• Interact effectively, courteously, and professionally with customers, vendors, and other employees.
• Be involved in the daily operation of the warehouse and fill in during the absence of the supervisor.
• Perform other occasional work assignments not mentioned above, including temporary assignments, training, and related duties.

• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies and effectively communicate solutions.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role is between $18.00 and $21.00. The actual pay depends on factors such as location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
