About the role

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to work as a Yard Helper. This entry‑level position involves miscellaneous tasks around the branch, including maintenance and clean‑up of equipment, rigging inventory, and small assembly and repairs. It is a full‑time, non‑exempt role with comprehensive benefits and a $100 bonus after 100 days of successful, continuous employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform miscellaneous tasks around the yard, including maintenance and clean‑up of equipment, buildings, and the general area.
• Clean and pressure‑wash cranes and heavy trucks.
• Assist in loading and unloading cranes and crane components.
• Provide physical labor at construction sites and assist other craft workers as directed.
• Operate hand and power tools and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to work safely around moving machinery and in conditions with marked temperature and humidity changes.
• Ability to safely operate complex construction equipment, including forklifts and tele‑handlers.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb.

Schedule
