Yard Driver South Bay
Position Summary
The position of the Yard Driver is to move trailers to and from the loading dock or back to the staging area. Maintain the staging area, report damage to any equipment. Communicate with Oakley dispatch and the customer at all times. Work with the shipping and receiving department of their assigned customer moving trailers into the loading/unloading area as directed by the customer and or Driver Manager. Maintain service records on the Yard equipment, making sure all fluid levels are checked. Customer or Driver Manager assigns equipment to be loaded/unloaded at a specific bay. The driver locates the equipment from the staging area. Before moving the equipment, the driver completes a Safety inspection to assure the equipment is safe for loading or unloading. When moving a loaded trailer from the loading area, the driver must verify that all seal points are intact and the seal numbers match what's written on the Bill of Lading. Make sure all documents for the shipment are in order and in the bill box for the road driver to access. Keeping with Food Safety, the driver will maintain their entire work area, including the staging area, loaded and unloading area, as well the Yard equipment.

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience operating large trucks.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy loads.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
