Yard Driver Non CDL

About the role

As a Yard Driver, you will maintain yard organization and safely spot trailers at dock doors and throughout the yard. You will also update trailer moves or any yard activity via a hand-held device.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse tasks as needed (10%)
• Safely spot trailers at dock doors and yard locations; drive yard trucks and spot at designated locations (80%)
• Conduct yard auditing; ensure yard accuracy by leveraging the Yard Management System (10%)

Requirements

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid, active Driver's License
• Ability to load and unload heavy items

Qualifications

• Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma and/or GED

Physical Requirements

Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Working Conditions

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and has no direct reports. No travel is required.
