Yard Dog Driver, Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities

• Trailer spotting and yard organization
• Move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and processing areas
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment
• Ensure trailers are properly secured and positioned for loading/unloading
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and warehouse staff
• Monitor yard conditions and report safety concerns immediately
• Complete required logs and documentation accurately
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Driver’s License (CDL may be required depending on facility needs)
• Previous yard dog, terminal tractor, or commercial driving experience
• A strong focus on safety and situational awareness
• The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A reliable method of transportation to and from work
• The ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Qualifications
