Yard Associate - Phoenix, AZ

About the role

Join Master Halco: Fence & Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer and distributor of fence and deck products, as a Yard Associate at one of our branch offices. This position involves a mix of forklift operation (70%) and manual material handling (30%), including reviewing order documents, loading/unloading trailers, and staging materials in the yard.

Responsibilities

• Work inside the warehouse and outside in the yard
• Accurately load trucks for outgoing shipments
• Receive and put away inbound materials
• Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately
• Pull and prepare orders, packaging for shipment
• Rotate yard stock and safely move materials using a forklift
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position
• Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 60 lbs) on occasion
• Forklift experience (sit-down) highly desired
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Experience with building materials a plus
