About the role
Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker. The Yard Associate is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property. The role maintains a written maintenance schedule and may service equipment as necessary to ensure equipment meets all set specifications. The Yard Associate also inspects equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost and/or damaged equipment.

Responsibilities
- Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property
- Maintain a written maintenance schedule
- Service equipment as necessary to meet specifications
- Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document lost or damaged items
- Perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more
- Work indoors and outdoors as required by the job
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
- Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- General mechanical aptitude and safety focus
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

Pay
Base pay range: $18.99 - $26.11 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
