About the role
The Full Time - Yard Associate supports daily yard and warehouse operations, including material receiving, stocking, and organization, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
- Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
- Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Must follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
- Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
- Absorb and assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability and to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
- Ability to move heavy products in busy warehouses and/or outdoor yards, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, and involves active physical work.
- Able to pass screening - background and drug screen.
Working Conditions
- Work performed in an outdoor setting/warehouse environment in conditions like noise, hot or cold temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential job functions.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location-specific business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience or certification preferred (training and certification can be obtained after hire through company training).
- Experience operating skid steer and/or front-end loader.
- Prior experience in hands-on, outdoor/indoor yard/warehouse, operational work or similar environment.
