Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and manage daily production activities of fabrication superintendents and instill adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, and material resources to meet established production schedules and optimize workflow.
- Drive proactive safety engagement in partnership with Safety team, including daily toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and incident prevention activities.
- Collaborate with xPL Quality Control (QC) team to maintain first-pass quality and prevent rework, validating production meets specifications and customer requirements.
- Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, including throughput, cycle time, downtime, and resource utilization; implement corrective actions to support performance.
- Deliver and maintain communication with plant leadership to align short-term production needs with long-term capacity planning and capital investment strategies.
- Support Superintendent team development through coaching, training, and performance management; foster culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Cookordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Maintenance teams to resolve production constraints and maintain operational flow.
- Oversee clean and organized production areas for compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workflow efficiency, equipment utilization, and process standardization.
- Facilitate pre-shift planning meetings with superintendents to review daily objectives, safety priorities, and quality expectations.
- Support onboarding and training of new employees to ensure skill readiness and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study with minimum 7 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction production, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- In-depth understanding of fabrication processes, production planning, and resource management.
- Leadership and supervisory skills with ability to motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Able to interpret production data and generate actionable insights.
- Ability to hold confidential discussions, influence leadership decision-making, determine direction, and prioritize responsibilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges, risks, and opportunities.
- Advanced project management skills, highly organized, and able to manage concurrent complex projects and tasks successfully to completion for self and others.
- Leverage interpersonal, leadership, and teamwork skills to build professional relationships.
- Supervisory and management experience, able to observe performance and provide timely feedback.
- Proficient computer skills, database application skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, and production management systems.
