Compensation: $3750 per semester (10 hours per week on average)
About the role
The Audio and Administrative Coordinator supports the Jazz Studies program with a combination of event support and administrative tasks, with opportunities to assist with audio engineering for live performance and post-production editing. This position is ideal for someone with a background in arts administration who thrives in both live performance production and behind-the-scenes roles. This is a part-time position, offering flexibility with some remote work possible depending on scheduling and event needs.
Responsibilities
- Event & Guest Artist Logistics
- Assist with scheduling, hospitality, and stage setup for concerts and masterclasses
- Support the Green Country Jazz Festival and other major jazz events
- Administrative Support
- Manage paperwork and payment processing for guest artists
- Assist with communications and scheduling for jazz program events
- Follow up on logistics and communications to ensure event success
- Library & Rehearsal Prep
- Assist with music library duties, including copying and taping music
- Help with setup and equipment needs for rehearsals and performances
- Tour Coordination
- Oversee logistical planning and execution of jazz ensemble tours
Requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience with music event coordination preferred
- Knowledge of jazz or a background in music is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with audio engineering for live performance and post-production
