About the role

The full-time X-ray Technologist will be responsible for following protocols, explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns. They will operate X-ray equipment, solve problems during exams, position patients, ensure radiation safety, perform Quality Assurance (QA) tasks, and adhere to office policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Follow protocols and explain procedures to patients
  • Solve problems during patient exams
  • Position patients for X-ray exams according to standard procedures
  • Practice radiation safety to protect patients and colleagues
  • Perform QA and other job-related duties such as cleaning and restocking
  • Follow office policies, HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Radiology operating systems like PACS, EMR, RIS, and report malfunctions
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Licensed and registered (ARRT)
  • CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Radiology operating systems
  • Ability to follow office policies and regulations
  • Compliance with HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements
  • Experience with QA and other job-related duties
