X-Ray Technologist, Full Time-Pulaski location
About the role
The full-time X-ray Technologist will be responsible for following protocols, explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns. They will operate X-ray equipment, solve problems during exams, position patients, ensure radiation safety, perform Quality Assurance (QA) tasks, and adhere to office policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow protocols and explain procedures to patients
- Solve problems during patient exams
- Position patients for X-ray exams according to standard procedures
- Practice radiation safety to protect patients and colleagues
- Perform QA and other job-related duties such as cleaning and restocking
- Follow office policies, HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of Radiology operating systems like PACS, EMR, RIS, and report malfunctions
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed and registered (ARRT)
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Radiology operating systems
- Ability to follow office policies and regulations
- Compliance with HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements
- Experience with QA and other job-related duties
