X-Ray Tech-Primary Care

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing patient care under the supervision of the physician.
• Performs x-ray and other imaging technologies.
• Performs medical assistant duties such as charting, taking vitals, and preparing injections.
• May substitute for other office personnel and conduct front desk/check-out responsibilities.
• Performs other assigned duties as directed by the physician(s) or practice office manager.

Requirements

• Post high school training and graduation from an accredited radiology degree program meeting nationally accepted standards.
• Valid Ohio License as a Radiographer.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• If practicing with a KPN issued AED, obtain and maintain current BLS certification.
• Previous experience in a medical environment preferred, especially in x-ray, examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion.
• Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and public, follow direction, accept orders, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Computer literate in word processing and email.
• Experience in electronic medical records preferred.
