Job Summary
We are seeking a X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to provide expertise and champion patient care.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
- Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
- A Radiological Technologist (RT) or Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMXO / BMO) license is required in state of residency.
- A current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
- A current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
- A Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion is required.

What You Will Do
- Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKG’s, and administer IM injections.
- Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
- Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
- Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
- Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
- Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
- Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
Requirements
Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned area preferred.
