X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to provide expertise and champion patient care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• A Radiological Technologist (RT) or Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMXO / BMO) license is required in state of residency.
• A current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• A current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• A Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion is required.

What You Will Do

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKG’s, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Requirements

Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned area preferred.
