X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking an NCT/Medical Assistant to join our team. Ideal candidates feel deeply committed to patient care and bring 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP). A GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license is required in the state of residency, and current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
- Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
- Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
- Auxiliary tasks such as assisting with check-in/check-out, auditing charts, maintaining records and logs, keeping patients and visitors informed, and applying splints, dressings, and bandages.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or approved program (BOTP).
- GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license in state of residency.
- Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- Current BLS Certification.
- Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
Qualifications
- Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
- General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required in state of residency.
- Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
- Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
- Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
