About the Role
Under the direction of a qualified physician, the CT Technologist performs both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines. Responsibilities include transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, maintaining the hospital computer system with exam progress, and ensuring outstanding customer service while maintaining respectful relationships with all individuals.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical scanning procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative for CT procedures involving ionizing radiation.
- Be responsible for designated areas, policies, and equipment.
- Adhere to age-specific guidelines for patient care.
- Maintain and update the hospital computer system with exam progress.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
- Experience with Siemens and Philips CT scan equipment.
- Ability to learn and master new tasks related to image quality and radiation safety.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Adult and child/infant CPR certification.
- Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment.
- One year of minimum experience in a relevant role.
- Organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Associate's degree.
- ARRT (R) (CT) certification.
- Florida State License - General Radiographer.
- CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must pass background and drug test screenings.
