About the Role
This position involves performing diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures to assist in patient diagnosis across all age groups, under supervision. The role requires proficiency in using PACS and other computer systems, handling patient care with confidentiality, and coordinating exams with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety and proper patient positioning.
- Maintain image quality and handle patient care with confidentiality.
- Coordinate exams with healthcare teams and use PACS and related computer systems.
- Perform equipment maintenance and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with departmental planning and provide education support.
- Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively under stress.
Requirements
- Graduate from a radiologic technology program with ARRT certification.
- CT certification preferred within 12 months of hire.
- Valid State Radiographer license.
- CPR certification.
Skills
- Knowledge of positioning, radiation safety, CT procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Skill in operating imaging equipment, PACS, and related systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and care for diverse patient populations.
- Strong critical thinking, confidentiality, and body mechanics skills.
