Position Summary
The School of Arts and Sciences at Holy Family University is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach first-year writing (ENGL101) in Fall 2026 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm on the NE Philadelphia campus. Other additional afternoon/evening sections may be added.
Responsibilities
- Teaching of courses in their assigned disciplines
- Maintaining academic excellence in their classrooms
- Responding to email correspondence from deans, coordinators and students in a timely manner
- Providing grades and feedback to students in a timely fashion
- Active and timely use of Canvas, our LMS and CRM, our retention software for student learning and engagement
Qualifications
- The successful applicant must hold an earned academic degree (doctoral or master’s level) in the discipline or a related field appropriate for the contracted teaching responsibilities.
- Official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions and three letters of recommendation will be required upon hire.
